Millions of Muslims around the world want to enjoy the sunshine of freedom and liberty. They want to enjoy happy, peaceful, stable lives, free from the cruel threats and brutal bondage of Islamic terrorists.
 
But no religion, including the Muslim religion, can continue to exist, half peace loving and half terrorist. Either it will become all terrorist, or it will become all peace loving.
 
Peace loving Muslims do not preach murder and hatred. But they fail to forcefully oppose it. They forget that the only thing necessary for evil to triumph, is for good men to do nothing. Men who refuse to take a stand against evil and terrorism, will soon cease to stand for anything.
 
Many of us Americans think that if we treat Muslim nations friendly and fairly, they will one day become our friends and our brothers. But a wise Muslim leader said this a few years ago: “No matter how much you Americans help us and no matter how desperately we need your help when we are in trouble, there can never be a marriage between us, not even a romance. In the end, you Christians will always be infidels to us Muslims.”
 
Perhaps that is why joyful crowds of Muslims poured into the streets worldwide to celebrate the killing of innocent Americans on 9/11. What head of a Muslim country publicly declared that the 9/11 terrorist attacks and the beheading of newsman Daniel Pearl were cruel and barbaric attacks and that he and his country would not rest until the terrorists were captured and brought to justice? Islam’s greatest disappointment is the failure of its leadership to stand up for what’s right and to oppose and condemn the evil and wickedness that flourishes in Islamic societies.
 
Today America is being forced to defend itself against a virulent and dangerous assault, by a “Cult of Evil Islamic Terrorists.”

The terrorists who crashed planes into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in New York were not living in poverty while learning to fly 747s.  They were not worried about social frustration or stagnant economies. People with their intelligence, education, and skills can always look forward to a bright and prosperous future. However, these were evil people who had criminal minds, criminal inclinations and criminal intent.
 
For Muslims, there has never been a day more filled with promise and sunshine within which to enjoy the blessings of liberty and democracy. But if Muslims want their countries to have the same guarantees of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness that we in America enjoy, they are going to have to fight for it.
 
I do not pretend to know what motivates Muslims to make the choices they make. That is a mystery to me. But what is not a mystery are the choices we Americans have been forced to make.
 
We will fight Islamic terrorists and terrorism, when ever and where ever we must. And when we fight, we will win!
